Vero Beach Pest Control

How it works

Our Pest Control Process

Good pest control is mostly careful looking and the right product in the right spot. After two decades on Treasure Coast jobs, that is still the part I would never skip. Here is what happens from the moment you send the form to the follow up visit.

Quick answer

You send a short form, a local technician reaches out to set an inspection, and they find the pest, where it lives and how it gets in. You get the plan and price before any work. Treatment targets the pest, entry points get sealed where possible and a follow up checks the results. Vero Beach Pest Control is a referral service that connects you with that independent local technician.

The Steps

  1. Send your request

Use the inspection form to tell us the pest, your address and the best way to reach you. A photo of the bug, the pellets or the damage helps a lot. Check the same day box if you need help today.

  2. Your technician reaches out

A local technician calls or texts to set a time. If you asked for same day service, they will tell you if their route has room.

  3. Inspection

Your technician walks the inside and outside of the home. They check the attic, garage, kitchen, bathrooms, window and door frames, the roofline, the lanai and the foundation line. They look for the pest, its signs, moisture and the gaps it uses.

  4. Plan and price

You get the plan in plain words: what pest it is, what product or method will be used, where it goes, what you need to do to prep and what it costs. Nothing starts until you agree.

  5. Treatment

Treatment targets the pest. That might be gel bait in cabinet hinges, a soil treatment or fumigation for termites, traps and sealing for roof rats, or heat for bed bugs. Products are used the way the label says.

  6. Sealing and advice

Your technician points out gaps, leaks, mulch against the wall and palm fronds on the roof that invite pests back, and fixes what is part of the job.

  7. Follow up

Many pests need a second look. Your technician checks results and treats again if needed.

Why an Inspection Comes First

The EPA calls this approach integrated pest management. It means finding out what pest you have and why it is there, then using the least risky method that works. Spraying without looking wastes product and often misses the real problem. A drywood termite infestation and a subterranean one can both show up as damaged trim, yet they need very different plans.

What to Ask Your Technician

  • Is your business licensed by FDACS, and what is the license number?
  • What pest is this, and how sure are you?
  • What product will you use, and where?
  • When can kids and pets go back into treated areas?
  • What do I need to do before and after?
  • What happens if the pest comes back?

The FDACS consumer page lets you search its database of licensed pest control companies and file a complaint if something goes wrong.

What We See Through the Year in Vero Beach

  • Spring: termite swarms at porch lights, ants on the move and chinch bugs starting on dry lawn edges.
  • Summer: mosquitoes after afternoon storms, fire ant mounds, palmetto bugs pushed inside by rain and sod webworms in lawns.
  • Fall: storm debris and wet wood that draw termites and rodents, and a good time to seal the roofline.
  • Winter: roof rats in attics, German roaches and bed bugs indoors, and seasonal homes reopening.

Process Questions

How long does an inspection take?

Most home inspections take under an hour. Larger homes, attics and termite inspections can take longer.

Do I need to be home?

Yes for the first visit, so your technician can see inside and talk with you about the plan. Some outdoor follow up visits can be done while you are away. Snowbirds can ask about arranging access.

What is same day service?

If you send the form early and check the same day box, the technician will try to fit you in that day. It depends on the route, so it is an option, not a promise.
